Incident in house allegedly involves adults and children

RIPLEY – A 37-year-old Ripley man was tracked down Monday and arrested for an alleged incident in a house involving another adult and several children Sunday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reported Monday evening.

Christopher L. Hawkins was charged with second-degree imprisonment, second-degree harassment and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. After his arraignment Monday in Ripley Town Court he was remanded to the county jail in Mayville in lieu of $5,000 bail pending further proceedings in the case. Deputies did not disclose the residence nor the victims allegedly involved in the incident Sunday.
