History Museum talks to explore women’s role in World War II

Two Buffalo History Museum programs in March will celebrate Women’s History Month by looking at the role of women during World War II.

Local historian Suzanne Dietz, who writes and researches for the Niagara Aerospace Museum, will discuss the impact of women on March 2, and Brenda Moore, an associate professor of sociology at the University at Buffalo, will discuss the Women Air Service pilots who served and flew planes during the war.

The talks will start at 6 p.m., with a reception at 5 p.m. at the museum, located at One Museum Court, at the intersection of Elmwood Avenue and Nottingham Terrace.
