Hate-filled propaganda will never lead to peace
Nothing gets to the haters like not being able to voice their hate. Hate comes in many forms and can nicely be clothed in propaganda.
Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) is a propaganda/hate movement aimed at delegitimizing the state of Israel and, in doing so, ignores human rights and their violations worldwide.
Not a single country in the world, facing internal and external threats as those faced by Israel, has a better record in human rights, compliance with the rule of law and concern for its citizens.
People who support this movement are not only on the wrong side of morality but on the wrong side of the peace process.
Recent letter writers called Israel a “military repressive regime.” Are they comparing Israel to Syria, Iran or Saudi Arabia? Countries with so many human rights violations that they are too numerous to note here. No concerns about these true repressive regimes?
But this is the type of propaganda tactics used by the haters, which I find morally repugnant.
I applaud the State Senate for standing up for all of our rights and hope the Assembly follows suit.
Hate is infectious and it may start with one group of people but end with a whole lot more. Just look at history.
