LOCKPORT – Two men who broke into apartments pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary in separate cases Friday before Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon.
She scheduled sentencing April 28 for Robert W. Eddy, 26, of Spring Street, Niagara Falls, who admitted entering another apartment in his building on Feb. 9, 2014. Eddy initially was charged with knocking the resident of that apartment down, causing him to strike his head on the floor, but he wasn’t asked to admit that.
In another case, William H. Culver, 32, of Pioneer Drive, North Tonawanda, admitted entering an apartment on Oliver Street in that city on July 28. Culver, who is living in a halfway house after going through a 28-day drug rehabilitation program, was admitted to the judicial diversion program, giving him a chance to have the felony reduced to a misdemeanor or dismissed if he succeeds in staying clean.
