Man and woman arrested in house burglary

A 20-year-old Archer Avenue woman and a 30-year-old Spruce Street man were arrested late Monday after they just left a house they allegedly burglarized in the 100 block of Potomac Avenue, according to police.

Falisha McIntosh and Darnel J. Warren were arrested on Potomac about 10:30 p.m. and charged with using a mini crowbar to smash open a house door and steal men’s clothing and men’s jewelry.

When arrested they allegedly were carrying a shopping bag containing narcotic pills not prescribed to either of them, controlled substances out of their original containers, glassine envelopes and a drug scale. Both were charged with second-degree burglary, possession of burglar’s tools, fourth-degree criminal mischief, seventh-degree criminal possession of controlled substances and possession of controlled substances outside their original containers.
