Barn, equipment destroyed in Wyoming County fire

GAINESVILLE – A fire that broke out late Sunday night destroyed a barn and a piece of farm equipment at Braughton Farms in Wyoming County.

The fire at 5622 Braughton Road was reported at 11:48 p.m. The barn stored multiple tons of cow feed and a high-lift, front-end loader, all of which was destroyed, according to the Wyoming County Office of Emergency Services.

Firefighters from Silver Springs, Perry Center, Castle, Gainesville, Perry and Warsaw responded to the scene.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
