The path toward the 2016-17 Iroquois school budget begins Tuesday when the district’s school board convenes at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday to discuss its fiscal plan.
During the first of three scheduled work sessions, board members will examine the costs of a “carry-over” budget; one in which all current services are maintained.
Additional work sessions are scheduled for March 2 and April 7, with the March 2 session focusing on adjustments.
“It’s a balancing act between the two,” said Superintendent Douglas Scofield. “We’ll try to have a conclusion on April 7, before we have a public hearing at a later date in April.”
The work session takes place in the Middle School auditorium, 2111 Girdle Road, Elma.
