Looking to stock the freezer?

A good opportunity presents itself Friday when a meat raffle, with proceeds contributing toward a sound system upgrade for the John F. Kennedy high school’s Greenauer Auditorium, takes place at the Fr. Justin Council Knights of Columbus Hall at 7 p.m.

Items to be raffled include hamburgers, hot dogs, steak, chicken, sausage and more. A 50-50 drawing will also take place.

Admission is $5 per person and includes food and beverage. participants must be at least 21 years old.

The event is sponsored by the high school’s parent teacher organization.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with the event running until 10 p.m.

The Knights of Columbus is located at 2735 Union Road, Cheektowaga.

This week:

• The Town Board meets at 6:45 p.m. in Town Hall, 3301 Broadway.

• The Cleveland Hill School Board meets at 6 p.m. in 105 Mapleview Road in Cheektowaga.

• The Cheektowaga Historical Association will be meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 18, 2016 in the Cheektowaga Senior Center, 3349 Broadway. The speaker will be Sandy Starks from Forest Lawn Cemetery on “Cemetery Symbolism”.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
