Annual genealogy workshop on African diaspora setfor Feb. 13

The Buffalo Genealogical Society of the African Diaspora will conduct its third annual James Huff Memorial Genealogy Workshop from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 13 in Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 26 Brunswick Blvd.

Society members will discuss methods used to trace the roots of free and enslaved ancestors, locations and family names. Others will talk about ancestors who fought in the Civil War or were attached to U.S. Colored Troops and in white regiments. Information on how to begin a genealogical search also will be available.
