Darrell Frederick Lane of Buffalo, who worked in his family’s business, died Jan. 21 in Roswell Park Cancer Institute. He was 59.
Born in Buffalo, he served for six years in the Army National Guard. Mr. Lane worked in a family demolition business founded by his grandfather in 1948.
Known to many as Rocky, Catfish and Night Train Lane, he also performed on stage as a singer with Innervision and the Butler Street Boys and as a solo artist.
He also enjoyed sketching.
Surviving are his wife of more than 30 years, Sandra Abrams-Lane; a son, David; two sisters, Michelle Burns and Gerrynette McKnight; and five brothers, Thomas, Elesta Jr., Leonard, Gary and Kevin.
Services will be held at noon Saturday in Faith Bible Tabernacle, 391 Edison Ave., following a wake at 11 a.m.
