A threat written on a bathroom stall in Orchard Park Middle School has sparked an investigation by police and increased police presence at the school.
The threat was found Wednesday, according to a letter from Orchard Park Superintendent Matthew McGarrity posted on the district’s website.
McGarrity wrote that school officials immediately contacted Orchard Park police and both will continue to investigate.
“All threats to our school community are taken seriously and investigated thoroughly,” he wrote.
Updates, when available, will be posted to the district’s website.
“You can expect to see an additional police presence in and around the middle school and the district as a whole,” the letter stated.
Anyone who may have information about the incident is asked to call police at 662-6444.
