OLEAN – Two of the three suspects who broke into a Brook Street home early Wednesday morning and threatened four persons there by claiming they had a gun, were arrested by Olean Police.
Julian M. Roulo, 19, of Irving Street, was charged with felony counts of first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and second-degree menacing and was remanded to the county jail of $5,000 cash bail. Olean police described the second suspect arrested as a 20-year-old Olean man who was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and given an appearance ticket.
Captain Robert Blovsky said the suspects forcibly broke into a home on Brook Street about 1:11 a.m. Wednesday and threatened four persons there, alleging they had a gun, though none was ever displayed. After injuring one of the victims who did not need medical treatment the three suspects stole a number of items and fled in a vehicle.
Blovsky said fast work by city police officers and detectives lead to the location of the car which was found on School Street. Roulo and the second suspect were arrested in an apartment there. The third suspect is still being sought and anyone with information is asked to call the Olean Police Department at 716-5677.
