John P. McGinnis was named president of Seneca Resources Corp., the Houston-based subsidiary of National Fuel Gas Co., after serving as its chief operating officer. He holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Purdue University and a doctorate from Columbia University.


The Amherst Youth Foundation elected Amanda Mooney vice president. Mooney has served as a board member since 2012 and a volunteer since 2005. A CPA, she is a tax accountant at Lumsden McCormick.

Daemen College was designated a Gold Fit-Friendly Worksite by the American Heart Association in recognition of the college’s commitment to providing physical activity and wellness opportunities to employees. This marks the third consecutive AHA distinction that Daemen has received in the Fit-Friendly Worksites program.


Picone Construction Corp. recently completed demolition, electrical, HVAC and carpentry work at 12 Gates Brewing Company located at 80 Earhart Drive in Williamsville. The brewery is designed as a production facility and tap room with light fare and snacks.


The Food Bank of Western New York was awarded a $23,500 grant from BJ’s Charitable Foundation to support agency capacity building by purchasing new refrigerators and freezers for nine food pantries throughout Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie and Niagara counties.
