Aurora Adult Day Services provides friendly, safe haven

Within the confines of our beautiful Village of East Aurora stands a community service organization proudly ready to welcome your loved one into a friendly, fun and safe haven. That place is Aurora Adult Day Services, located behind the old Oakwood fire hall site. A recent article in The News reported that State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli was investigating the potential risk to seniors attending unregulated adult day care programs. We want our citizens to be informed that Aurora Adult Day Services is monitored by the Erie County Department of Senior Services, which includes a yearly review and contract approval.

When a family is faced with the deep emotional realization of Alzheimer’s disease, dementing illness and memory loss characteristics revealing themselves in their own mother, father, spouse or sibling, we are there to help. Coordinating a free visit, accompanied by a physician’s referral, opens the door to enjoyment for your loved one and respite for you, the caregiver. Laughter, music, socialization, arts and crafts, and pet visits all define a typical day at Aurora Adult Day Services. Our stellar reputation, allowing us to now be celebrating our 25th anniversary in this community, is a testament to the devotion and care our friends experience each day they spend with us.

Licensing and state regulations may be proposed, and if passed, Aurora Adult Day Services will accept the monetary obligation and be open to any and all regulations.
