LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man, who was on federal supervised release after a drug conviction, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Niagara County Court to having had a gun in his Hyde Park Boulevard apartment when federal probation officers visited May 29.
Reggie R. Goodwin, 22, admitted to criminal possession of a firearm and could receive a prison term of as long as four years when he returns before Judge Sara Sheldon April 22. Goodwin also is facing a potentially lengthy federal prison sentence for violating probation on a charge of conspiracy to possess cocaine with the intent to distribute it, with a plea expected to be entered Feb. 12 before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara. Sheldon said her sentence will be served simultaneously with the upcoming federal penalty.
Goodwin pleaded guilty in 2014 to selling crack cocaine and marijuana in the Bronx in 2012.
