Parking in the wrong driveway leads to aggravated DWI charge

A Cheektowaga man who pulled into a stranger’s driveway in Alden faces aggravated driving while intoxicated charges.

Matthew Murray, 27, pulled into a driveway on Zoellner Road in Alden at about 10:45 p.m. Sunday, according to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.

The resident of the house yelled at him to leave, but Murray flashed his headlights and remained in the driveway.

Sheriff’s deputies charged Murray with DWI and aggravated DWI for having a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.18 percent. He was released into the custody of a relative and has an upcoming date in Alden Town Court, the sheriff’s office said.
