Kaistertown blaze causes $40,000 in damage

A fire early Monday morning in the city’s Kaisertown neighborhood caused $40,000 in damage and displaced two residents.

The blaze at the two-story home at 28 Gorski St. was reported at 5:52 a.m., according to the Buffalo fire department. Gorski Street is off Clinton Street between Bailey Avenue and South Ogden Street.

The fire was declared “under control” at 6:09 a.m.

No injuries were reported and the Red Cross was called to help two adults. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
