Albion speeder charged with needle possession and using brother’s name

ALBION – A 33-year-old Albion man was arrested by Orleans County sheriff deputies after his pickup truck was clocked at 86 mph in a 55 mph zone on State Route 104 in the Town of Murray about 6:24 a.m. Monday.

Christopher M. Bescherer was charged with second-degree criminal impersonation, possession of a hypodermic instrument, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding. He allegedly gave deputies his brother’s name in an attempt fool deputies. Several hypodermic needles were found in his truck, deputies said. He was issued appearance tickets for proceedings at 6:30 p.m.Feb. 1in Murray Town Court.
