A public hearing on modifying the town’s maintenance rules of lots, plots and property is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at the Town Board meeting in Town Hall, 1250 Union Road.
The public hearing will discuss adding clearing of debris, along with brush, grass and weeds, to the town code. Under the modified rules, anyone served noticed to cut, trim or remove brush and/or debris has 10 days to comply. If the person fails to comply, the Senior Code Enforcement officer or designee has the power to do the work and a $200 annual fee for administrative costs will be charged.
Also, town resident registration for the West Seneca Youth & Recreation summer day camp program begins Feb. 1. Boys and girls 6 to 14 are eligible. There are six one-week sessions that begin June 27 and continue through Aug. 5. The fees for residents are $140 for most weeks except for the second week that begins with July 5 which will be $125. Registration for non-residents begin March 1. The camp is held at the Town Ice Rink & Veteran’s Park Grounds and includes many field trips, sports, swimming and arts-and-crafts activities.
