A variety of attractions are planned for the Town of Clarence 2016 Winterfest from noon to 5 p.m. next Sunday in the Town Park, 10405 Main St.
Presented by the Clarence Chamber of Commerce and the Town Youth Bureau, it will feature sledding, ice skating, crafts, face painting, a bonfire and marshmallow roasting. There also will be sled dog demonstrations by the Siberian Husky Club of the Niagara Frontier.
Also scheduled are “Star Wars” light saber performances by the North Ridge Cast at 12:30 and 2 p.m., the Rochez Academy Irish Dancers at 1 p.m., caricatures by Murray Mann from 1 to 4 p.m. and children’s entertainers Charlie and Checkers at 3:15 p.m.
• The School Board discusses the first draft of the district’s 2016-17 budget when it meets at 7 p.m. Monday in the lecture hall of Clarence High School, 9625 Main St. Attention will be given to challenges in revenues and expenses, as well as Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s budget proposals. The public will have an opportunity to comment and ask questions.
