3. Dallas Stars. Lindy’s crew battling to avoid look they peaked too early. (3)

4. St. Louis Blues. Not getting much pub, but just one regulation loss in last 10. (6)

5. Los Angeles Kings. Wonder if Kopitar’s eight-year deal is one of the last given to a 28-year-old. (4)

6. Florida Panthers. Huge bounceback against weary Hawks to end quick slide. (5)

7. New York Rangers. Are 17-5-2 in the Garden. Tough task for Sabres on Monday. (8)

8. Tampa Bay Lightning. After a crazy first half of controversy, they might rate as Atlantic favorite again. (12)
