Pizza Plant’s downtown location opens Monday for dinner.
At 5 p.m., “we should be up and running,” said owner Bob Syracuse. “But it’s opening a restaurant, so we’ll see how it goes.”
The 140-seat restaurant is located on the northwest corner of the One Canalside building on Washington Street, also home to a Courtyard Marriott hotel and the Phillips Lytle law firm.
The Transit Road Pizza Plant is known for its draft beer selection, and the downtown outpost will make beer a selling point as well. The restaurant has 30 taps, Syracuse said, with at least five taps for locally produced beer. The tap lineup is updated in real time through the restaurant’s smartphone app, Syracuse noted.
The food menu, featuring pizza and the restaurant’s trademark pizza pods, will not change, he said.
