Mother, four children left homeless by East Side fire

The Red Cross has been asked to provide temporary housing and services for a woman and her four children whose house was condemned after a Friday night fire.

Firemen were called at about 7:30 p.m. to battle the fire at the two-story home at 180 Keystone St.

Fire officials ruled the building uninhabitable and called for utility company crews to inspect its electrical and gas lines.

Keystone runs off Walden Avenue, just east of Bailey Avenue.
