HISTORICAL SOCIETY MEETING: Niagara County Deputy Historian Craig Bacon will discuss family genealogy and research at a meeting of the Wilson Historical Society at 7 p.m. Monday at 645 Lake St., Wilson.

KENMORE ART SOCIETY: The Kenmore Art Society will hold its monthly meetings at 7 p.m. Monday in the conference room at Kenmore Mercy Hospital, 2950 Elmwood Ave., Town of Tonawanda. Local artist Catherine P. O’Neill will present a slideshow of her award winning watercolors. The public is welcome.

SNOWMOBILE SAFETY COURSE: The Shawnee Sno-Chiefs Snowmobile Club, in cooperation with the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company, will hold a state snowmobile safety course from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Monday and 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company, 3747 Lockport Road, Sanborn. It is open to anyone age 10 and above. Students should bring a pencil or pen and a snack. Soft drinks will be provided. Pre-registration is required by calling Rodger at 731-2174. There is no cost.

BUFFALO-LILLE ASSOCIATION: Tim Herzog, president of Flying Bison Brewery, will present a talk entitled “How Beer Saved Buffalo” at a meeting of the Buffalo-Lille Association at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Room 210 in Butler Library at SUNY Buffalo State, 1300 Elmwood Ave. For reservations, contact Jean F. IMAGINE LECTURE SERIES: The Center for the Study of Art, Architecture, History and Nature will present the “Imagine Greater Buffalo” continuing lecture-discussion series from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Ring of Knowledge area on the main floor of the Central Library, 1 Lafayette Square. A video, “Science Wars: What Scientists Know and How They Know It,” will be shown.
