Falls man arraigned on drug indictment, faces more charges

LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man, indicted nearly a year ago on drug charges, was arraigned Thursday in Niagara County Court, but he faces more charges that he picked up when he was arrested.

Victor E. Johnson, 32, of A Street, is charged with two counts each of third-degree sale and possession of crack cocaine, which he allegedly sold to a police informant Sept. 24 and Oct. 1, 2014, in the Falls.

Falls police said they captured Johnson in a raid Tuesday on a Packard Court apartment, where they seized a .22-caliber handgun and two boxes of ammunition, 11 tinfoil packets of alleged heroin, 115 prescription pills and some marijuana.

Johnson pleaded not guilty, and Judge Sara Sheldon ordered him held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
