If school tax is too high, voters should nix budget
I agree that there is a problem with an increasing school tax, specifically in the Hamburg School District. However, a part of that problem is that voters continue to approve the budget year after year. I seem to recall that it was less than a landslide last year, but the budget still was approved.
I am hopeful that the School Board will reconsider the situation and trim the budget and lower taxes. But, if not, the voting public can decline to approve the budget and encourage the board to re-evaluate the issue.
