Two Townsend Street Brothers and an Ada Place man were arrested on stolen weapon and drug charges by police officers called to check on an unrelated trouble call in the 2200 block of Bailey Avenue early Monday.
Dominic Daniels, 29, and his brother, Darnell Daniels, 25, and Brandon Brown, 33, were all charged with felony counts of second-degree criminal possession of stolen property after they allegedly threw three stolen handguns out of their car as police officers drove by about 4 a.m. The sounds of the weapons hitting the sidewalk drew the attention of the officers and a further check led to the recovery of a plastic bag containing cocaine in the parked car of the three suspects. All three were also charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. The suspects’ car was towed to the Seneca Street Police garage.
