Buffalo traffic stops yield drug possession charges for four men

Three traffic stops on Niagara Street on Monday led to the arrests of four Buffalo men who were charged with drug possession, according to the State Police.

Juan Pena, 23, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for having 700 milligrams of cocaine after he was pulled over for an unspecified traffic offense. Pena also had a revoked driver’s license.

After being pulled over for speeding, Angel Adorno, 21, and passenger Luis Andino, 36, were charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, State Police said. A plastic bag with 700 milligrams of crack cocaine was found on the floor of the vehicle.

Carlos Algarin, 30, was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by State Police. He had an active bench warrant for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
