An Irving man faces drunken driving charges after he was found behind the wheel Saturday with a blood-alcohol content more than double the legal limit, according to State Police.
Frederick General, 36, was pulled over on Route 5 in Brant after he was driving 74 mph in a 45 mph zone and using a turning lane to pass four vehicles, State Police said.
General registered a blood-alcohol content of .19 percent, more than double the legal limit of .08 percent.
Police charged General with felony driving while intoxicated, felony aggravated unlicensed operation, speeding and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device. Seneca Nation Marshals took possession of the vehicle.
General posted $5,000 cash bail after his arraignment and is due in Brant Town Court on Feb. 18.
