Business People: Certo Brothers names COO, CFO

Certo Brothers Distributing Co. appointed Dennis Hartman general manager and chief operating officer, and Robert Brooks chief financial officer. Hartman, with the company for 33 years, was vice president of sales. Brooks, who was controller, joined the company in 1993.

Uniland Development Co. promoted Heidi J. Dobmeier to controller. Dobmeier, a CPA with the company since 1999, is a University at Buffalo graduate.

Palladian Health appointed Douglas White vice president of sales, Pamela Sawicki director of care management and networks and John Passanese director of product development and analytics. White earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Scranton University. Sawicki, who was vice president of medical management at Independent Health, graduated from Erie Community College. Passanese holds his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Harvard University.

Barclay Damon promoted Michael R. Moore to partner. Moore received his bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University at Buffalo and his J.D. from UB School of Law.

Sandhill Investment Management named Christopher Kicinski partner. Kicinski, a certified public accountant and a certified financial planner, was most recently vice president. He has been with the firm for four years. He is a graduate of the University at Buffalo.

Dopkins & Co. promoted Andrew J. Reading to general services senior manager and Michael J. Orlowski and Katie Mellon to tax managers. Reading, a CPA, joined the agency in 2007 after obtaining a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Fredonia. Orlowski, a CPA, graduated from Canisius College prior to joining the agency in 1986. With the agency since 2008, Mellon, a CPA, holds bachelor’s degrees from Canisius College and SUNY Empire State College.

HusVar Properties named Gregory Straus a partner. Straus will continue as a real estate broker serving Western New York. He is a graduate of Canisius College.

Dansa & D’Arata appointed Mary G. Bostwick and Brett M. McDermott senior accountants. Bostwick, a CPA, earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from SUNY Geneseo. McDermott received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Daemen College. Also, the agency named Angela F. Dussault a staff accountant, and promoted Carly A. Zimbardi to office administrator. Dussault, a CPA, earned her bachelor’s degree from Daemen College and master’s degree from Canisius College. Zimbardi is a SUNY Buffalo State graduate.

Kenmore Mercy Hospital appointed Amy M. Baker stroke program coordinator. Baker, who has been with the hospital for eight years, was cardiac clinical adviser for two years. She holds an associate degree from Trocaire College and a bachelor’s degree from Niagara University.

Lif Dental appointed Julia Kagan a partner and dentist. Kagan graduated from the University at Buffalo. Also, the practice named Patrick Boland director of operations. Boland is an Erie Community College graduate.
