Hamburg Music Festival finalizes concert date

The annual Hamburg Music Festival will be held May 14, the non-profit organization confirmed on Facebook.

Although the date originally announced was June 4, organizers Mary Jo Duggan, Alison Pipitone, Patrick McKee and Luke Mumbach have pushed the event nearly a month earlier.

A wristband for entrance into all of the participating venues will run for $12, and the event's homebase -- Memorial Park -- will welcome food trucks, have beer and wine for purchase, kids activities and plentiful live music. Expect an announcement of the park's headlining bands in the coming weeks.

In 2015, 43 bands performed in 26 Hamburg venues, and proceeds have benefited Hamburg Central School, Big Tree Volunteer Firemen and Special Spaces Buffalo in the past.
