No students hurt as car collides with school bus in West Falls

A Springville-Griffith Institute school bus with eight students aboard and a car crashed at about 6:40 a.m. Thursday on Davis Road/Route 240 in West Falls, East Aurora police said.

The bus was headed uphill around a curve on the two-lane road when a car heading in the opposite direction lost control on the snow-covered roadway, slid into its lane and crashed with the bus.

The car was driven by a 68-year-old Colden man who reported pain in his chest and arm. He was treated at the scene but refused to be transported to the hospital, police said.

None of the students nor the bus driver was injured.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene.
