Buffalo woman charged with painting man’s car, putting sugar in woman’s vehicle

A Buffalo woman spray painted a man’s car and put sugar in the gas tank of a woman’s car, State Police said Thursday.

Tamika R. Coplin, 36, faces charges of third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, and second-degree aggravated harassment.

Coplin was arrested Wednesday and following a lengthy investigation into the vandalism that occurred in the Town of Lockport, state police said. Investigators found she bought a can of black, fast-dry spray paint from an Amherst Walmart. She also threatened the woman with bodily harm.

After being arraigned in Lockport Town Court, she was sent to the Niagara County Jail on $500 bail.
