Buffalo man pleads guilty to federal drug, gun charges

A Buffalo man is facing prison time after pleading guilty this week to conspiracy to distribute cocaine and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Ricky Lee Pyzikiewicz, 28, is the second defendant in the drug case to admit guilt before U.S. District Judge Elizabeth Wolford.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Mary Catherine Baumgarten said law enforcement officers searched the defendant’s home on Maurice Street in 2010 and seized baggies containing cocaine and marijuana.

The search was part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking by Pyzikiewicz and co-defendant Ashley Marie Gnocchini, 29, of Cheektowaga. Gnocchini also was convicted of conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

The convictions are the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Orchard Park police and Hamburg police.
