Hamburg has to stop raising school taxes
I read the letter titled, “Vote on school budget in November, not May.” That was a great letter and I would like to add my two cents, if I may.
Does the Hamburg Central School system think that taxpayers have a tree in their backyard that grows money and we can pick off it whatever amount they need? Five days before that letter was published, I was telling my family and friends that if the school taxes keep going up like they have been, then I will be putting my house up for sale. I don’t even have children.
What I find amazing is that the New York State teachers union is against the property tax cap. I could just imagine how much our taxes would be without the cap.
