LOCKPORT – A Lockport contractor turned himself in to state police after troopers placed a warrant for his arrest on Facebook.
Daniel Vargas, 46, was charged Tuesday with fourth-degree grand larceny for failing to complete work for a homeowner in 2015.
Vargas, of Lockport Awning, was contracted on June 15 to install an awning at a Lockport residence. The victim said Vargas was paid a $2,800 security deposit, but the work was never done and the deposit was not returned.
Vargas was arraigned in Lockport Town Court and released without bail. A return court date was set for Feb. 4.
