Buffalo State: Hockey honors flowed in for the Bengals. On the women’s front, Justine Silva was named the ECAC West goalie of the week and Emma Ruggiero (Sacred Heart) the rookie of the week after a pair of victories. Silva made 27 saves in a 4-0 blanking of SUNY Canton while Ruggiero totaled five points in the sweep of Canton, which included a 7-4 victory in the series opener. Among the men, Ryan Salkeld was named SUNYAC player of the week after producing a goal and assist in a 3-1 victory over No. 15 Utica.

Canisius: Traci Murphy, the senior women’s administrator for athletics, has been selected to participate in the 2016 NCAA Pathway Program, which prepares current administrators for athletic director roles. Murphy is among 15 Division I administrators participating in the program. … Dylan McLaughlin (Lancaster) was tabbed as Atlantic Hockey rookie of the week after producing a goal and three assists in two games against RIT. McLaughlin tops Canisius’ freshmen with 11 points on four goals and seven assists.

D’Youville: Senior Shannon Dougherty (West Seneca West) scored seven points to reach 1,000 for her career in the Spartans’ 70-50 victory over Franciscan.
