Brush and vines between Vickers Street and Ellicott Creek have been cleared out, opening up an area that city officials hope one day might be a park.

Currently, the city’s only park along the creek is Eastern Park, Mayor Davis said at last week’s Common Council meeting.

Workers from the city’s departments of Public Works and Parks cleared out the brush and vines.

“My hats off to all the workers for their hard work, it’s looking great,” Davis said. “Take a drive down.”
