Brad Shumway’s goal broke a tie at 11:04 of the third period and gave Rochester Institute of Technology a 4-3 victory over Canisius on Saturday night in an Atlantic Hockey Association game at Gene Polisseni Center in Rochester. Shumway’s game-winner spoiled a Canisius comeback and evened the weekend series between the teams at one victory each.

Freshman goalie Simon Hofley made 38 saves for Canisius which was outshot, 42-18.
“We battle back real hard after falling behind,” said Canisius coach Dave Smith. “We showed a lot of grit and character late to get bet back in the game but we just couldn’t get the equalizer.”
Cuddemi’s two goals gave him 13 for the season and 26 points. Conacher’s goal was his 14th of the season and his two assists gave him 30 points for the season.
