Sarah E. Frys and Jonah Mathis were married at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 in Asbury Hall in Buffalo, where guests gathered for a reception following the ceremony. Jeffrey Gier, uncle of the groom and a judge in Brant, heard the couple’s vows. The bride’s parents are Judith A. Frys of Buffalo and Ronald E. Frys Jr. and Thomas M. Finnerty of Buffalo. The bridegroom’s parents are James L. and Carolyn Mathis of North Collins. The bride, a graduate of Amherst Central High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in cell and molecular biology from Binghamton University and is attending Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. The groom, a graduate of North Collins Senior High School, earned an associate degree in computer repair from Erie Community College. He is a manager at Consumer’s Beverages in Western New York. After a trip to Prague, Czech Republic, the couple will make their home in Buffalo.
