Melanie Horton and James Dirschberger were married at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 12 in Our Lady of Victory Basilica, Lackawanna. Guests gathered for a reception at Shea’s Performing Arts Center. The Rev. Romulus Rosolowski of Our Lady of Victory Basilica heard the couple’s vows. The bride’s parents are Florence and Kenneth Horton of West Seneca. The bridegroom’s parents are James Dirschberger of Clarence and Lynn Chase of West Seneca. The bride, a graduate of West Seneca East Senior High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and Spanish from Canisius College and also earned a master’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in Latin American studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. The bride is a director of marketing at El Camino Real Charter High School in Los Angeles. The groom, a graduate of West Seneca East Senior High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in motion picture production from the Academy of Art in San Francisco. He is a show creator and executive producer at Nickelodeon in Los Angeles. After a trip to Japan, the couple will make their home in Los Angeles.
