Short jail term for man who splashed toilet water on cop

LOCKPORT – A Lockport man who twice splashed toilet water on a city police officer in the city lockup on May 25 was sentenced Thursday to a five-year probation term that will begin with three months in jail.

John Apolito, 53, of Case Court, had pleaded guilty before State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. to aggravated harassment of a correctional employee by an inmate. Apolito had been arrested on a misdemeanor drug possession count, along with disorderly conduct, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
