Two men arrested after a Salamanca bank robbery

SALAMANCA – Two 20-year-old men were taken into custody following a stickup about 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Community Bank branch at 103 Main Street.

Officials of the Seneca Nation Marshall’s office took credit for arresting the two suspects. Seneca Nation President Maurice A. John Sr. praised his Marshals Office for taking part in the investigation with the New York State Police, Salamanca Police and the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office. The names of the two suspects and charges lodged against them were not immediately disclosed.
