The Association for a Buffalo Presidential Center recently elected Sandra Williams Bush to a three-year term for its board of trustees. Williams Bush worked for 30 years in the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library system, most recently as the branch manager of the Frank E. Merriweather Jr. Library in Buffalo. The center encourages the study, exploration, interpretation and public awareness of Buffalo and Western New York’s contribution to the presidency and national affairs.


Segmedica/xsperient appointed David Knight director of Client Solutions. Knight has more than 15 years of experience in key business development and sales positions including account manager, client development director, and sales manager at companies such as Harris Interactive, Taylor Nelson Sofres and MSI International. He graduated from Nazareth College.

Niagara County Community College was awarded the designation of a Top School by Military Advanced Education and Transition in its 2016 MAE&T Guide to Colleges and Universities, measuring best practices in military and veteran education. The guide is available online

The BISON Children’s Scholarship Fund recently hosted more than 900 people at its 2015 Celebration Luncheon at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center, where it raised a record $300,000, enough to provide 250 scholarships to underprivileged children in Western New York. The annual luncheon is the organization’s only fundraising event, contributing the majority of the money needed to fund more than 1,800 scholarships to students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
