The Buffalo Mass Mob will stage its 14th visit at a 1 p.m. Sunday Mass in St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy, the former St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 325 Walden Ave. at Sycamore and Miller streets.
Tours of the mission complex will be given after the Mass. Those who attend are asked to bring items for the mission’s Code Blue program, which provides shelter for the homeless in bitterly cold weather. Needed are winter jackets, hats, gloves, socks, boots and blankets. For more information, visit BuffaloMassMob.org.
“As the Catholic Church begins its Year of Mercy,” organizer Christopher Byrd says, “Buffalo Mass Mob thought bringing our group to St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy was an appropriate way to begin 2016 for our group and help draw attention and support to the inspirational works of mercy going on at St. Luke’s.”
