Jamestown man with revoked driver’s license jailed

KIANTONE – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office early Thursday charged a Jamestown man who had his driver’s license revoked after he was pulled over on Route 60.

Larry L. Hicks, who was stopped in Kiantone in southern Chautauqua County around midnight, lost his license due to prior drug- and alcohol-related driving offenses, the sheriff’s office said.

He was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, having an open container of alcohol in his vehicle and failing to stay in his lane.

After being arraigned in Kiantone Town Court, he was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail, authorities said.
