Buffalo homicide detectives have made an arrest in a Nov. 19 West Side shooting in which a man was wounded in both legs.
Tommy George, 45, of Buffalo, was charged with first-degree assault and criminal use of a firearm by Detectives Daniel Redmond and Christopher Sterlace, who caught him in Niagara Falls. They were assisted by Central District Detective Timothy Rooney.
Homicide Capt. Joseph A. Gramaglia said George was identified as a suspect early in the investigation of the shotgun shooting that took place at about 8:20 p.m. on the first block of Pennsylvania Street, but that it took time to determine his whereabouts.
