LOCKPORT – A man who is under indictment on charges of possessing cocaine and oxycodone during a Lockport drug raid was jailed Tuesday in lieu of $5,000 bail, set by Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III, after he was rearrested Sunday in the Town of Lockport.
Willie R. Bogar, 43, who has moved from Niagara Falls to Buffalo since his indictment in September, was arrested Sunday on charges of first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated harassment after he allegedly violated a restraining order by calling the mother of his children and threatening to slit her throat, Assistant District Attorney Claudette S. Caldwell said.
Assistant Public Defender Luke A. Brown said the incident happened after the woman went to Family Court last week to seek a custody order for the couple’s children.
Bogar, who has been to state prison four times since 1992, was arrested May 11 in a raid on Washington Street in Lockport.
