BROCTON – A 41-year-old Brocton man and a 35-year-old Brocton woman were ticketed by State Police for a crash in the snow filled intersection of Old Mill Road and East Main Street here Friday.
Eric Sprague failed to stop for a stop sign as he headed north on Old Mill and ran into the car of Tammira Topliffe as she drove east on East Main into the intersection, officers said.
A Brocton Fire emergency medical services crew took Topliffe to Brooks Hospital for a checkup on pain she said she suffered in the crash. Sprague was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign and Topliffe was ticketed for failing to turn on headlights while using windshield whippers. Both were ordered to appear in Brocton Village Court Feb. 3.
