Conservation talk to be held Saturday at the aquarium

NIAGARA FALLS – The Aquarium of Niagara will conclude its three-part conservation lecture series with guest Jajean Rose-Burney at 1 p.m. Saturday in the aquarium, 701 Whirlpool St.

The lecture is free with paid admission to the Aquarium.

Rose-Burney, development coordinator for the Western New York Land Conservancy, will deliver a lecture on the new Stella Niagara Nature Preserve. The 29-acre preserve along the shores of the Lower Niagara River in Lewiston is now open for people to visit. The preserve has a diverse collection of habitats, including a large meadow, forest and pools, which support rare plants and animals, including the threatened bald eagle and lake sturgeon.
